I absolutely HATEHATEHATE when writers use "inspiration" from a movie/TV series/book to write a fanfic for a ship. It grates my nerves. Are people really that uncreative that they have to use someone else's story and replace characters that probably doesn't even SOUND like the shipped characters? Does this make sense to any of you? Some think it's so creative and great to see (in my case) Draco and Hermione as the stars of the movie/TV show they love. I think it's lame. Come up with your own damn plot! And stop wasting your time re-writing someone else's script! And if you use some obscure TV show/movie that's not in the English language, don't think that you can get away with it because SOMEONE is bound to have seen it. Grrrr.

Hi. I'm Amanda. I mainly created this journal to stay updated on some of the fanfics I read. I read DM/HG, HG/BZ, HG/CW, and random others. I don't usually comment, and I know many think it's rude. I really would, except I feel awkward just suddenly showing up at someone's LJ squeeing "OMG! i love your work!!" I really do, that's why I'm reading/friending. But if you (a writer I've friended) would really like feedback, then I'd be more than happy to oblige.

I don't think I'll be writing about anything from my personal life. I barely do that on my other blog thing. Not much goes on. One thing I can share- it hurts my feet to wear any shoe that is not flat. I wore 3.5 inch boots today. Smaaaaaart.

Ummm. I used to write my own fiction. But I've stopped because they all just ended up as these dumb teen melodramas with ridiculous plot lines and concepts. Not to mention I didn't know how to do characterization. Real life and school also took all my time. I had a Draco/Hermione fic that I was working on years ago... It still might be up on ff.net. I should really take that down in case some poor soul decides to steal my fic (which isn't really worth stealing). User name is Pucca. Try not to be too harsh, as I've abandoned it already.
